Good afternoon Blessed Women of God. Thanking God for our weekly Wisdom Wednesday. Today Don't follow those fickle feelings , follow God. Webster's has defined fickle as not fixed or firm; liable to change ; unstable. Your emotions and how to feel are liable to change. So, if you follow your feelings, then your life, your choices, and your actions will sway like a tree in a strong wind. For Example: I just feel like this or that. Everything you talk about or do is based on how feel. Do you know anyone like that, and trust me before you say , oh yea! that's so-n-so.
It could be you. We all have been guilty partakers of our changeable feelings and emotions. So what you saying Sis B., I am not to have feelings and/or emotions.
No! God gave those to us for a reason, we need to learn how to direct them. Let me balance this, we women will shop, cut our hair and eat based on how we feel. Shop knowing you don't need that purse, or really have it in the budget to pay for it. But you got it anyway base on how you were feeling and going through that day. I will pay that bill next week. We have become very creative on bill pay when we are emotionally going through. Laughing at myself thinking about some of the hairdo's I have wore. Lol., Amen. Because our feelings are unstable and unpredictable, someone who lives based on their feelings will also be unstable and unpredictable. James 1:8 says that someone who follows his feelings is
double-minded man, unstable in all he does. Instead of following feelings and allowing our emotions to lead us, we need to follow God, and allow his
Holy Spirit to lead. He is our only true stability.
On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. That Rock is God's Word. If we want to live solid stable lives, they must be built on the Rock-God, himself in his word. So therefore before you make a critical decision and get all caught up in your emotions of the I feel make sure you see what the word has to say first. Don't follow feelings follow the all knowing God. Amen. Read and meditate on James 1:5-8, Matthew 7:24-27. I love you in Christ Jesus. Sis. B.
